So a year ago on Sat. (the 9th), I did a little thing called-pee on a stick- and found out some news that would change our lives forever. It was an interesting day, and not a sweet cute story at all. It's a typical story, I was late, thought I could eat an entire horse for 3 meals a day, and decided to take a test. I do remember when the two lines appeared, one was dark, and one was a little faint. I mean, they look like the same color on the instructions! So, I ring up a good friend of mine and ask her, "are the lines supposed to be exactly the same color?" She assured me that they don't have to be the same color, but I should probably get a test that just states the facts. So, that's what I did, and I saw that very important word, "Pregnant". I was absolutely shocked! And Jer was at work, so what was I gonna do, should I call? Since we weren't really planning on having a baby juuuuuuust yet, I decided to save him the heart attack for when he came home. I didn't have a cute idea in how to tell him, I just wanted to be able to get the words out. So, he came home, I told him I had to show him something and held out the stick. He turned and knocked it out of my hand (I think this was unintentional). We both looked down on the floor where it was laying, and he proceeded to say "no, no, no. It's not true. It's not possible". Not kidding, this was his reaction. Needless to say we were shocked. I remember being very scared as I had never ventured into this territory before and I had no idea what to expect. I was worried about a miscarriage, and I was worried about being pregnant! So many emotions. Little did I know what we were in for.
This day will probably not become a yearly anniversary. But, I thought that it was poinient culmination looking back on the year we have had...
