Today is my birthday.
I don't want to be a typical woman and complain about my age. Having a birthday is better than not having one...if you get what I'm saying. I am thankful that God has given me another year with my family, friends and my sweet baby girl.
But, with that being said, birthday celebrations sure have changed....
gone are the giddy feeling, crown wearing, present seeking days of my childhood.
And most certainly, gone are the crazy living, any-excuse-to-put-on-a-costume-and-rent-a-school- bus-to-go-waltzing-through-town-days-of-my-college-life.
|Year 22...when I started to dread birthdays.....|
(and yes, we are dressed up in theme...not our regular attire!)
Ahhhhhh.....to be young and fancy free again.
But then, this guy came along and made birthdays even more special.
He sure knows how to make a girl smile.
So, yes. It's my birthday, and my last year in my 20's.
And I'm determined to love every second of it, cause I'm not going to get this time back.
Off to celebrate.
