We spent all of last weekend packing up the remnants of the place we called home for the past 4 years.
It's the longest we've ever stayed in one place.
and man, we loved that house.
Our blood, sweat and tears went into that place. (and quite a bit of cash as well)
and we brought our baby home here.
During all of that packing, I did manage to host the saddest little yard sale that you ever did see.
It was our first attempt ever at selling crap on our front lawn and asking people to pay for it.
but, it worked! It was freezing outside, but I met the most interesting and nice people that day! My favorite was the older black man who spent his last 3 dollars buying one of Jeremy's old suits. I really wanted to just give it to him, but he insisted on paying. He was absolutely precious. And he looked too cute in that suit.
And when it was all said and done, I made 165 dollars! (don't tell the government, ok?)
Whatever wasn't sold went to a local charity.
And see that giant ABF trailer? It's holding all of our stuff until the house is built...sometime in 2012.
We're glad it's over, and more than anything, we're glad that the new owners love the place as much as we did.
We hope they will be so happy there for many years to come.
