We're working really hard around here on oral hygiene. And it's not easy. Isla June is really into the independent stage (though I'm no so sure that it's just going to be a stage...), and is really insisting on brushing her teeth all by herself. But, her teeth brushing involves chewing on the tooth brush in order to get every last morsel of toothpaste (that's fluoride free btw) off of it. I'm not so sure that her efforts are doing any real good in the fight against tooth decay.
But, alas, anytime I try to involve myself in this matter, it becomes a death match. She will fight me to the end. I've tried lots and lots of positive reinforcement, the sneak attack and pretty much hog tying her in an effort to get those pearly whites sufficiently cleaned (I'm kidding about the hog tying, ok?).
Since we attempt this feat 2-3 times a day, I'm really at a loss as to how to make this task more of a happy experience. We're trying, really we are.
P.S. does anyone else remember that song from Preschool?? Jer had never heard it before.
P.P.S. please disregard my singing
