Our Lately's

After much insisting, I let Isla June sleep in the big bed in her room.  She passed out there one night, and so we tried it again the next day for nap.  She slept 4 hours that afternoon.  I was elated.
That night, she figured out that she could climb down and play with all of her toys.
back to sleeping in the crib.
Isla June is obsessed with books.  I think the only reason I tolerate her love for movies is because she shares an almost equal desire to read.
I love this picture because it shows her natural inclination to dive into any book she can find.  Makes my momma heart happy.

After many requests we finally scored the car cart at the grocery store.
She was thrilled.

Lining toys up is her new thing.

She requests painting everyday after nap.  It makes a total mess, but oh well.  worth it.

Don't you hate it when your breakfast smoothie give you a mustache?
 Yeah, me neither.

After going out to walk on our NEW lot for the NEW house plan, we headed out to lunch.  Will share details when it looks like the house will actually be built.

trucks, trucks, trucks.  I never thought with a little girl in my house that I would have so many trucks in our life.  Or talk about trucks as much as we do.  Seriously, we have to differentiate each truck: mail truck, garbage truck, delivery truck, cement truck.
Her Boppa is proud.

She's finally started coloring on her belly.  The former teacher in me is elated.
#motor development.

Swim lessons are going so well!
I need to get out the video camera and share all that she has learned.

Toddler Breakfast: gluten free granola cereal with organic rice milk,
coconut yogurt with blueberries and gluten free Cinnamon raisin toast with organic peanut butter.

My airport lunch.  I kept up with my gluten free diet all through traveling and it made the biggest difference with my travelers tummy. as in, it's gone.

This is me.  Attempting to look like a grown up.
One of the best weddings ever.  Good friends, lovely couple and sweet families.
Doesn't get much better than that.  Also, me sans baby and hubs.  craziness.

I think photo booths should be more available.  We need more of this goodness in our world.

Isla June's first plane ride.  With daddy.  Not mommy.  Word on the street is she was wonderful.

I finally got through most of Isla June's video footage of her first year and a half.
Here's her first birthday party.  It's pretty boring but I had tons and tons of random video from that day (thanks mom), so I had to find a way to get it all in one manageable place.
