Isla June will now frequently ask us, "Hey? You have fun at the baseball game?"
Large bodies of water are like a magnet to a toddler. I'm lucky she didn't jump in.
My early bday present from the hubs. Love these two.
I found this funny eggplant face in our local CSA bag of produce we get every week.
Almost made me feel bad about cutting him up.
A girls night out for Leah's birthday. We had fun shocking everyone at the bar by telling them her age. This lady looks good, and we had so much fun together.
As she says, "You're the only person I know who I can drink margaritas and talk about Jesus with".
Don't we all need a friend like that?
Isla June's first official ice cream. It was actually sherbet but she doesn't know the difference.
And she didn't have to share it with anyone. A special day, indeed.
My resourceful toddler.
At the library making friends. Sharing the trains takes a lot of self control. Good thing these friends understood that.
Oh, this little guy. He's been costing us the big bucks lately thanks to a little fungus called Ringworm that he picked up and decided to get in his eyes.
gross. just gross. ugh.
A little early morning town construction. This was done completely independent and stayed like that for most of the day. Architect?
"I yuv Pad Thai!"
Seriously. She loves it. I've never seen her eat so much of anything in my entire life (except strawberries). Sometimes, right before dinner she'll yell out to me, "I yuv pad Thai!" and I have to gently let her down that I have, in fact, NOT made pad Thai for her.
I think I need to learn.
New momma watch. A $12 consignment find.
It's a little trendy for my normal taste but I'm hoping it will help me be more prompt.
The other day, while picking up our CSA basket from the Farmer's Market, this little lady got herself a peach from one of the stands, and then proceeded to sit down on the ground and devour it. It was seriously the size of both of my fists. This little girl loves her peaches.
Good thing I brought some money with me. Because that would have been embarrassing.
On a side note, she's been calling herself "yittle girl" lately.
I hope she doesn't stop. It's too precious.
P.S. Have you seen her swimming?
Redneck swimming at our favorite friends' house.
This is another reason why I love Myrtle Beach. Swinging with a view of the ocean.
Her life doesn't stink.
Still loving the sand/water table.
Toddler Meal. Organic Tomato soup through a straw.
Rogue coloring incident.
She will now point to it (because I haven't gotten it off yet) and say,
"Not on the Wall! Color on da table", like she needs to remind herself or something.
She's learned how to take pictures with my IPad. Imagine hundreds of photos just like this taking up storage space on my computer. yay.
On Saturaday, August 18, 2012, Isla June peed in the potty.
This may be a loose statement as she had actually removed the inner catch tub and the peepee thus landed on ground, but still! She sat on the potty and peed. I didn't really care where it ended up.
Happy Friday, Friends! Enjoy your long weekend :)
