The Nursery Phase 5

So, I call it Phase 5 because we still have a little bit of work to do.
I want to put a bird mobile above the changing table (good distraction for baby Jenks' during the 100th diaper change), and I want a toy/hope chest to put under the window for storage and as a small seat.
But, those can wait a little bit.
Right now, we have everything we need for Baby Jenks', which is such a relief! I have to say that the nesting instinct hasn't kicked in- I actually think I'm worse than before I was pregnant...maybe this really is a baby just like my sister, Lizzie (ask my mom about trying to get her to clean her room growing up!).
But, I am very happy with the outcome. Everything, minus the crib and mattress and changing pad, are second hand so the nursery should be a friendly and chemical smell free place for baby Jenks. I have to say, our dogs, Beaugart and Bixby approve. They are always sitting in there on the rug. It's so peaceful in there.
Thank you to everyone who made all of this possible. Jeremy and I are so grateful, blessed and fortunate to have such wonderful friends and family to support us during this exciting time in our lives! Hope you like it too....

  1. Love the chair. Do you know what brand of fabric that is? I see your post is two years old, so maybe it's not available anymore, but I hope it is!

    1. Hi Charlotte! I don't know what the fabric is called, I'm so sorry. But, I do know that it has become much more popular and I see it around in other colors, specifically cream and light blue or cream and black. I'm sure a fabric showroom would have something just like it!
