You Scream, I Scream, We all Scream for.....Pizza! Annie's Organic Pizza Review and GIVEAWAY!

I couldn't be more excited when Mom's Meet asked me to sample Annie's New Organic Rising Crust Pizza.  I mean, I'm like a 12 year old kid, I love pizza.  And an organic option?  Yeah, Buddy!

Our family has always loved Annie's products.  I grew up on the Mac and Cheese varieties, and I still enjoy their cracker and cookie snacks.  Isla June enjoys their Bunny fruit gummy's, and I love that they are a company with ingredients I can trust and I respect.
I recieved a coupon from the company to use at a Whole Foods Store.  We don't have a Whole Foods in Myrtle Beach (you hear that Whole Foods?  We need you!), so Isla June and I traveled up to see my family and stop into the Whole Foods in Chapel Hill.
I was way too excited about checking out this store, but Isla June was at her wits end after all day in the car, no nap and being hungry.  I was hoping we could grab dinner (which you can do there as they have a wonderful buffet type offering), grab our Annie's Organic Pizza and be out of there as quick as you can say toddlermeltdownsscareme.  But, after trying to coax my screaming child into her stroller admist the judging eyes of the other crunchy mommas, I gave up and just reliqushed myself to pushing a much-too-big-for-our-shopping-needs cart.  Atleast she would sit in that.
I had to laugh though as this clip came to mind

But, if you've never been to a Whole Foods store, I have to say, go!  They are amazing.  Full of fresh whole foods for your family.
But, back to pizza (yuuuuummm, pizza....)
Here's what they looked like in the freezer case.  Don't you hate it when you go into a store for one or two things and can't find them because it seems like they are hidden away?  Is that just me?  I thought that this little picture reference of their display would help anyone trying to find them.  your welcome.

As you can see, they are available in four flavors, including uncured Pepperoni, Four Cheese, Supreme, and Spinach & Mushroom.  And have I mentioned that they are all Certified Organic!
Other awesome facts about this pizza are the
  • Naturally rising crust with 8g whole grains per serving
  • 100% real cheese, made with milk from cows not treated with the growth hormone rBST*
  • Features meats with no nitrates or nitrites added (except for naturally occurring nitrates in sea salt or celery juice powder)

I haven't found any other pizza with ingredients like this anywhere else.
And, of course, I chose the Spinach and Mushroom.  Gotta get my veggies in every chance I can!

It was super easy to make, and it was quick!  20-25 Minutes in the oven.

I even kind of forgot about it (because that's what happens to busy mothers), but it was still fine.  I think this pizza gives you some wiggle room on the coking times depending on how you like your crust.

Look! They sent me a too cute Annie's oven mit so I wouldn't burn my hand.

And yes, it looked amazing and was super easy to slice.  Plus, this pizza was BIG!  Much bigger than other frozen pizzas we've tried (the website says 11.5")  It was plenty to feed 4 members of my family.

It was Isla June approved.
Yes, we fudged her diet a little bit and she got to try the pizza as well.  With the ingredient list being what it was (healthy and organic even though not gluten free), I was very willing to let her try it out.

I really loved it, and so did Isla June and my Aunt.  Especially the crust, it was nice and soft.  We all are excited to sample another kind.  My father, Kenny wasn't as much of a fan, but he's a very picky eater, so I'm going to take his opinion with a grain of salt (sorry Kenny).
If I could ask Annie's for one thing, it would be a gluten free pizza.  Maybe one day!
But, until then, this will be my go to frozen pizza for my family.  I like it, I trust it.

Ok, are you hungry for pizza now!
I have 3 coupons for a FREE Annie's pizza to giveaway!  So, 3 people will get a free pizza!

  3. I would love to win a free pizza, but I am not sure the coupons would be good here in Canada. If they are that would be great, but if not, no biggie! Love reading your blog and I am so glad you are posting so often! Keep up the great work!!

    1. Sadly, Sara, it's for U.S. residents only (I'm sure it has something to do with the postage or the coupon). But definitely look for it at your local grocer or Whole Foods (are they up there?). And thank you so much for reading along!

  4. loved the pizza, didn't eat all the crust so I saved it and cut it up into pieces, toasted it in the toaster oven and made delicious croutons for my salad...The pizza sauce was really good and if you want to spice it up, go for it with your favorite sauce!
