A little weekend project

Can't keep me out of work for a WHOLE week and expect me to do nothing....This is our half bathThe "Pink Palace" as we like to call it. And we haven't done anything with it in the past three years we've been in our house. When we first moved in, I was so excited that I had a pink bathroom (silly, I know. I was in my pink phase). But, slowly, the pink has started to look a little outdated (yes, I should have realized this earlier). But, we never touched it because we always had plans to turn it into a full bath. We even contemplated tearing out the wall next to the window and extending it to make a bigger bathroom and even put a door to the outside in it for guests (those who stay in the apartment over the garage, or when we have cookouts which we used to do a lot more often).
But, now that the house is on the market. I figured that I needed to actually do something with the bath (even if we eventually do turn it into a full bath for the future buyer, I wanted it to look better NOW.) So, with some inspiration from a picture I picked up from TJ's (and talked em down to 15 bucks!) I decided to bite the bullet and go for it. The paint is from Isla June's bedroom (I LOVE that green)

I'm hoping that the tile now looks more "vintage" than "outdated". I have to say that I really, really like it. Aunt Jeje LOVES it and is so excited about her new bathroom makeover. And even Jeremy likes it. Hopefully, a house hunter will fall in love with it's charm as well.....

P.S. the white dot in the bottom pic is a shine from the camera. Not a floating white hook.
