One (more) Green thing

I'm coming back with more Green things.  Promise.  I've been brainstorming some of the green things that we do around the house that have just become so much a part of our life so I forget about them.
I've got to remind myself about them.

But, here's another one of my favorite green things.  Because it involves shopping.  and saving. and hunting.  Things I love. (for clarification, I only like hunting for bargains, not real live animals.)

While we were up in Chapel Hill visiting family, we stopped by the Red Hen consignment store again.
And, again, I was please with what I found.

Both dresses are name brand and of good quality.  So what I would normally spend at Target or Walmart, I know I'm getting better quality.
And Mr.Potato Head?  How could I say no to "Mister Tato" as Isla June likes to call him.  On Amazon.com, he's currently going for $15.18.  A savings of 12 bucks is my kind of thing.  This is why I love consignment shopping.  Such.great.finds.

I'm sure you're saying, "I get it, I get it.  You like secondhand clothing."  Yes, that is true (as seen here, here, here and here.)  I guess I'm hoping to entice others who would never think of shopping secondhand to just try it out.  You never know what you may find.

Will you share with me your favorite consignment or thrifting find?

  1. I love thrifting because its so easy to find great deals on things that would normally have to save up to buy. This week on HOTT I got the little dude a twin bed for 40$ The frame retails over 100$ at Ikea and the mattress is another 200$
